New EV Smart Charge Point Regulations

From 30th June 2022 new regulations come into force which will affect any person or business selling, offering or advertising a charge point for sale for use in a domestic or workplace environment.

These changes are being put into place to help manage the increased demand for electricity as more electric vehicles are now on the road.  Essentially, the changes will ensure that charge points will have 'smart functionality' which means charging an EV will happen when there is less demand on the grid.
